CHARACTERIZATION
FORMATIVE EXPERIENCES:
PHILOSOPHY: Very much of the opinion "live and let live" unless you come for his mates. Then he'll fuck you up with zero hesitation. He lives and breathes the idea of friends and family are the very fabric of his world of which he is a supporting character. He looks to people for leadership rather than relying on himself to lead the way and once you have his loyalty, it's hard to lose it.
DESIRES: Building a support network that makes him feel less alone is his primary objective. Likely finding a strong personality he gets on with to fall in behind them is something he'll lean into hard because he's had the hierarchy of gang politics around him since his formative years and he still needs that to function. Without it he'd feel incredibly adrift. Equally, since he's only recently actually come out and is used to being in a place where being gay carries the potential of being ridiculed and ostracised, he'll want to explore his preferences more freely in a more accepting place.
FEARS: Linked to the above philosophy, Bob fears being alone so much that he's always looking to be around people. He struggles with the idea of having time to himself and this makes him low-level clingy at times. He's also keen to make himself useful so that people do feel like they need him. It's part of why he stayed in the closet for so long - the idea of his friends finding something about him objectionable and potentially rejecting him over it was worse than having to live a lie in regards to his sexuality.
- JOINING A GANG: Like other boys born onto a council estate in working class London, joining a gang was always going to be a 50/50 chance in Bob's life. When you live in the world of postcode wars, it helps to have mates at your back who are handy with a knife. Joining a gang gave Bob a sense of community and stability in a time where it was dangerous to be without allies. He joined the Wild Bunch likely from the connections he'd made as a teen in the gang scene and being so submersed in the gang scene in London, it certainly has stopped him from spreading his wings and moving away as he made a name for himself via his somewhat nefarious adventures.
- ONE TWO GOING TO PRISON: Bob was the only person who went to visit One Two's mum while One Two was in prison, making sure she was taken care of while her son was behind bars. This shows not only his caring nature but at how he's adrift otherwise without his nearest and dearest. It also shows how much he values family, a cornerstone of who he is at his core, and local community.
- COURT DATE: Up until he's arrested and has a court date set, Bob had somehow managed to get away with his crimes and throughout the course of his canon, we discover why that is (avoiding spoilers lol). However, we see that when he talks about the court date and potential outcomes, i.e. prison time, he's incredibly anxious about being put behind bars, unsure if he'll actually survive being in such a small space for any length of time. It's the first time we really see him fretting about something in a way that isn't immediately covered up by his cheeky sense of humour. At this point it's also fair to say that he isn't sure how he'll survive without the support network of friends that he's built up around him.
- COMING OUT: Living in the closet (as far as he thinks he has been) has been a difficult thing for Bob, not least because he's from a time where homophobia was still very much accepted in modern society. Especially as somebody who lives in the criminal underworld of 'alpha male' personalities. Even his best mate (who we find out he's in love with) has problematic ideas about homosexuality and we find out that Bob's reputation of being a 'Ladykiller' has always been a cover for the fact he's only attracted to masc-leaning folks. Eventually we learn that a bunch of his closest gang mates had already worked out he's gay and don't care about it at all, but until he comes out to One Two, he's very firmly in the closet.
- CATCHING A RAT: It's partly down to the fact that Bob seduces Stella's gay lawyer husband (a request made by Mumbles rather than his own choice) that the true identity of the police informant in their ranks - responsible for so many of them going to prison - is exposed. In the final hour, close to being killed and fed to crayfish, the information that Bob tracked down is what ultimately saves the gang's lives. He's shown to have been extremely capable in having chased down this long held mystery and is certainly not above using the promise of sex to get him closer to what he needs.

GAMEPLAY
SUITABILITY: I'm keen on Bob in this kind of setting because he truly is one of the most social and community-driven folks to have around. He's the ilk of criminal whose vibe is 'cheeky man with his heart in the right place if you forget about the fact he's also a thief and capable of serious aggression if the correct sequence of buttons are pushed'.
Once he's loyal, the likelihood of him popping off at opposing personalities/forces/events to 'his' people just gets higher and higher. He's absolutely one to throw himself into the thick of things for the sake of his loved ones, even if it's not a sensible or smart plan.
Long term I would love him to develop more of a sense of self-worth beyond just what he can do for other people. I'd like him to feel more confident about striking out independently for more than just mundane things without a need for somebody else to tell him what he should be doing/what goal he should be working towards.

What's more stereotypically brutish than an 8ft tall pale-skinned ogre-esque monster whose entire existence is reduced down to the need to maim and fuck? Sometimes at the same time. Very on the nose for a man used to being stereotyped as nothing more than a thug. His monster form is precisely geared up to leave him little in the way of thought and a lot in the way of brawn. He's a battering ram to be pointed in a direction and let loose. Bulky and incredibly broad and muscular, if that's not concern enough he has rows of jaggedly sharp teeth lining his mouth.
In the weeks leading up to transformation, he will find himself being less present in his day to day, able to satisfy his basic needs but not particularly feeling connected to them beyond a basic level of satisfaction. In the days leading up to transformation, portions of his day are completely void of conscious thought.
The first physical symptom of his change will be the deep ache in his bones as they start to grow, the swelling of muscle making his skin feel impossibly tight and perhaps leaving him with great difficulty to actually use his joints effectively. His temper will shift into something easily breakable and, notably, this is the only time he's more difficult to control as he struggles against the transformation and wrestles his mind in an attempt to keep control of himself.
Once he's fully transformed, he will be highly suggestible to anybody able to control him, especially if the suggestions are in line with the basic needs he will naturally want to satisfy. If somebody tells him to fuck, he will. If somebody tells him to kill, he will. He's left as a weapon able to be pointed in any direction so long as the person wielding him is cunning enough to control him. This will leave him with awful things to try and reconcile once he transforms back to his human form.
